High School diploma or GED required, (2 year degree preferred in Human Resources field or related discipline).
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience and/or a combination of experience and post-high school education.
Good computer skills and good basic math skills necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Human Resources Clerk:
Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork concerning personnel related data such as attendance, benefits, OT requests, hires, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.
Assists with clerical aspects of administering drug screens, as needed.
Communicates with supervisors and peers providing information by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person regarding attendance related issues.
Communicates with supervisors regarding completion of evaluations.
Assists with coordination of payments for nurse practitioner.
Assists with clerical aspects of onboarding or terminations of employees, as required.
Assists with clerical aspects of compensation and benefit programs, including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability and workers compensation.
This may include monthly bill reconciliations.
Completes employee job verifications, at employee's request.
May serve as a backup to labor edit position.
Assists with other clerical duties, as required.
